Flame Guard is  for interior use only and designed to slow the spread of the coating it has been mixed with.  

CLASS A: Add TWO packets of Flame Guard per gallon for a Class A fire rating.

CLASS B:  Add ONE packet of Flame Guard per gallon for a Class B fire rating. 

NOTE:  To achieve the A or B rating you must apply two coats.  Coverage is 250-300 sq. ft.  Mix thoroughly, then brush, roll or spray.   Always test compatibility before using. Flame Guard has not been tested for use over spray foam and is for interior use only.

Unlike other fire retardant paints, Flame Guard is an additive that allows you to tint to any color in the specturm.

FLAME GUARD IS NOT INTUMESCENT, meaning it is not a foam.  
It works by suffocating the substrate from the flame — therefore, if there is no oxygen for the flame, there is no fire.  Flame Guard will slow the flame on the surface of the treated coating.

INTERIOR USE ONLY
Flame Guard should be used on interior surfaces where you wish to slow the flame spread on the treated surface.  

Schools, hospitals, nursing homes, private dwellings, office buildings, day care facilities, or wherever you wish to have added interior protection.

 

 

Each bundle contains three packets of Flame Guard fire retardant additive.
